my weight literally keeps gaining and losing the same 2 1/2 pounds... I recently hired a trainer and am working on proper eating habits. Seriously frustrated I don't see a difference and afraid I will get too frustrated and quit

It's normal to fluctuate 2-3 lb daily with a static calorie intake and regular exercise level. You are at equilibrium. To lose weight now you want to strive for an average weekly calorie deficit of around 400cal per day. You can eat less or exercise more or any combination of both. You are actually doing a great job at not gaining! Think of ways to burn as many calories as possible in your regular daily routine and that's a great start.... Good luck, you can do this...0
