    Food is too valuable to replace with coffee. Never track coffee, unless it is pre made such as a latte.

    Coffee is flavored water. If you don't count it, then logically you wouldn't count water that has been flavored with a slice of lemon or any of the other things that people use all the time.


    Nah, it was the diuretic effect that made people wonder, which I think was a good point to study.

    I just log my cream.

    I do use coffee as an appetizer, for when I'm too hungry to eat yet (feeling hypoglycemic and need a little something). Or when my BG is high and I don't really feel like breakfast anyway. I use a fair bit of cream in those cases, so it's a bit of a snack.
