Hello everyone, this is my first time using this app and I really like it.
I do find at times that it is hard for me to use all of my calories in a day and other times when I go over.
I would love your suggestions.

Many of us find that pre-logging allows us to hit our goals more consistently. I spend a few minutes each evening logging my meals for the next day. That way I will see immediately if I have too few or too many calories and I can make adjustments.0

It's perfectly fine to eat under some days and over on other days. You don't have to hit your goal exactly every day. Average your calories out over several days and as long you are not far over or under you should be just fine.0

Think about your calories as more of a weekly thing. You are always going to have that variation on a daily basis (unless you're insanely strict). There are going to be days where you have dessert and it pushes you over and there will be other days where you are going to miss meals. Consistency is always better but sometime life happens. If you're significantly over or under come weeks end then I might make some changes.0

Thanks so much. Recording my meals on a daily basis works for me as I don't want to over extend myself with my meals.
I'm afraid if I don't record every day I could go overboard.
Thanks again.0 -

You may have misunderstood the responses. I don't think anyone was suggesting that you shouldn't log every day. Just that it's okay if your calories vary day to day. For example, if the goal is 1500 calories per day.
Monday - 1450
Tuesday - 1415
Wednesday - 1665
Thursday - 1501
Average daily calories is 15070 -
Pre-logging isn't 100%, but it helps. You'd still need to come on and log. For example, you may log that you're packing an apple tomorrow. You don't know the weight of the apple until you eat it, so you still need to adjust that - or maybe you decide you want a banana instead. You'd have to change it.
Having a loose idea of your meals (or strict, depending on your preference) can help tremendously, especially when first starting out.0
