It's the Little Things That Matter....

This morning I got my body composition done, as earlier posted, and as many have you told me -- they're not super accurate so I shouldn't be concerned about that number. It definitely didn't go the way I was hoping.. so that was at 5:15 AM. Got a phone call around 10:30 AM saying I didn't get the job that I so badly had wanted. So, two things bringing me down today....

Normally I would have gone right to food to seek comfort, but I didn't. I stuck to my plan and talked myself out of going to food for solace. Sometimes it's the little things like this that show us how far we really have come....

:)

    Good for you!

My gym gives free 'body composition' evaluations as well. Last time they told me that the 3 pounds I had lost in the last 3 months, while doing strength training 3x a week, were only lean mass... even though I lost like 10 inches in that time too. That was 1.5 years ago, haven't gone back since... still lost inches since (even though I haven't lost more weight).

Life is too short to worry about inaccurate measurements.

I did a hand held device that said I was 25.2% -- I did that one about a month ago. One of the trainers told me to do a more accurate testing... which was this morning. And that one said I was 30.4%! And this has been after 5 weeks of consistently lifting 3x per week and doing cardio days. I've lost 8 pounds in that time and inches on my waist. There's nooooo way I'm at 30%! Unreal....

    V I C T O R Y!

This is the kind of change that really should be celebrated. Just being aware that you could have gone there is such an important step.
