Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips. I get pain in the back of my leg behind the knee that worsens with exercise so I know that I'll need to lay off the leg exercises for a bit but as I'm unable to get to the doctors/physio for a bit due to personal reasons I was wondering if any could recommend any advice on how to handle the pain other then ice. The area doesn't swell up or bruise. No negative comments either. Thanks :)

    pain=stop
    its one thing if you are sore. Being sore is normal. There is not much muscle behind the knee, so I would doubt that is the case. You could be aggravating injured or overstretched tendons/ligaments. It can come from a variety of things. What exercise are you doing when you feel the pain?

    Sounds like a bakers cyst. My doc found one in the back of my knee when I had surgery.

    It could be a couple things I guess. ACL pain is often felt as an injury behind the knee so that's a possibility. There are also two small muscles in the posterior knee called the Popliteus and Plantaris both of which are involved in knee flexion. Definitely consult with your physician and you may consider requesting an MRI depending on the severity of the pain.
