I have working on my journey this time for 5 weeks. I have lost 19.3 pounds and very excited and happy. With that being said, this past weekend I sabatoged myself like crazy!! Why do I do that?? I was way over my calories. I did log it because I did it. I need to own it. I seem to do good during the week. But as soon as Saturday hits I screw up!! This week it's my husbands birthday and we are going out Friday night with co- workers and then Saturday night his parents are taking us out. Then next week it's Thanksgiving. I am feeling helpless!! I just want to sit here and cry! Help please!

Honestly, if I were you, I would just concentrate on not gaining over the holidays. That will be a victory. Then, with the new year and fewer special social occasions, you can go back to losing.
Keep to a deficit during the weekdays. Over the weekends when you have an event, watch your portion amounts and choose lower-calorie options.
You won't be perfect. Don't stress about it. This is a learning period. You will have social occasions and the important thing is to strive toward making those work for you, not against you.0
