Having trouble meeting my iron goal and staying at/under my sodium goal. Calories, etc. have not been a problem. Learning as I go and incorporating more fresh/non-processed food but those 2 categories are always way under/way over. Any suggestions?

Keep in mind that many MFP entries will be incomplete for some nutrients.

I do track iron because I have a low hematocrit number from time-to-time (blood bank).

I don't track sodium (or sugar) as I don't have medical issues re: those. I drink plenty of water to flush excess sodium.

I've noticed that some, and have also started researching the nutrition more for accuracy. Thank you for the link.

I'm anemic and can't get all the iron I need from food alone. In addition to paying attention to dietary iron, I need to take supplements equaling 278% of the RDA just to get my iron counts into Low Normal. I've found different forms of iron more effective than others and am currently taking http://www.iherb.com/Thorne-Research-Iron-Bisglycinate-60-Veggie-Caps/52838

Ferrous Gluconate was utterly useless, as was another form given to me by the VA (probably Ferrous Sulfate). I assume these are cheap forms of iron.
