I am on my 6th day on the regime of eating only 1700 calories , I have been excersing everyday and staying under my goal, yesterday I even worked out twice in one day0. I woke up sore and kinda bloated today but still good so I decided to weigh myself only to find out I had gained 1.8 pounds and I'm like what. I have been doing everything right why did I gain weight. Could it be all the extra strength training I've been doing or should I wait till tomorrow to weight myself since it will make it exactly a week that I have been on the app and maybe that will make a difference??

If you are increasing your workouts, your muscles will often retain water to help repair. This will subside with time.
Don't expect instant results. This will often lead to frustration. It hasn't even been a week!0 -
Increased exercise, especially lifting, will cause water retention that can take a couple weeks to go away.0

Weight fluctuates. It's been 6 days. Give it time. Also, make sure you're weighing all your food and not just guessing. That helps a ton.0

This one in particular might help shed some light on your predicament: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10084670/it-is-unlikely-that-you-will-lose-weight-consistently-i-e-weight-loss-is-not-linear/p10 -
I wouldn't weight myself yet....give it a few more weeks, then watch the trend on your "reports" tab....watch the trend for calories, net calories, etc....after a couple of months, you will notice the trend for "weight" dip slightly...but this takes time, and is different for everyone. You've only been at it a week, and I can bet you didn't gain the weight in a week, so give yourself a bit of a break. It'll happen...Patience, Consistency, Planning, Faith in yourself. If you have those four things, there's nothing that can stop you. Good luck xo0
