To maintain my weight and reduce body fat, how much time is recommended per week for lifting? And how to divide between upper and lower body?

Depends - if you are a beginner then would suggest starting with an established beginner's routine to build a foundation of strength and technique.

Also if you are a beginner really wouldn't suggest a split routine unless you have specific reasons for needing to so.

More info would help people give advice. Goals, restrictions, equipment, training experience and current status for example.

    I agree with poster above
Also try to stick to whole body lifts or exercises

So you get great overall strength/core strength

    Best of luck
