any heart rate experts out there?
I'm a 55yo male, mainly I do progressive lifting & long distance walking but at least once, & often twice I get on my spin bike & do 20 mins 30 sec on, 30 off, interval cycles,
by rep 3 or 4 I get up to 150 beats per minute & average 130 inc warmup & warm down over 28 or 29 min total bike time,
my resting pulse is 48-50 beats per minute, I weigh 75kg, 166lb,
all sound ok? thx.

Just as a rule of thumb, max HR is 220-age. That would put you at max HR of 165bpm. Interval training is usually done at 85-95% of max so 140-155bpm. Nothing in your descriptions sounds out of ordinary, but if you really wanted to know, you'd have to have your actual HRmax tested.0
