Okay so my back isn't literally broken, but a few months ago I really damaged the base of my spine at work. Does anyone have any suggestions for exercises I could take up? I can't do Body Combat or Body Pump at the gym anymore. High intensity is a no go ![:( :(](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
I used to go swimming before I piled on the pounds but now I'm too embarrassed to go.

what did the physical therapist and doctor say? If swimming is approved, then go do that, it is a good whole body exercise.0

I find it very difficult to go swimming because of my size, I'm mortified to be in a swimming costume.0 -
OK, but like nordlead asked: what did your PT and/or doctor (preferably PT) say? He/she is much better suited to advising you on your specific condition/injury than anyone here that hasn't seen your medical history/results.0
