should I be worried? He wants to wait 2 months and check again is that normal? Anyway anyone that's had this if you can tell me your symptom and what caused it that will be great. Any info from personal experience is welcomed

Ok it is always worrying when people quote numbers at you but what you know is

That it is sufficiently unconcerning to wait for 2 months to recheck it
That googling and internet advice is not appropriate for any medical condition because all you will get is misinformation, misdiagnosis and more fear as it is extremes that are posted
That much as you don't know what that number refers to, neither can anyone here
If anybody does dare tell you what it means online they would be making it up because they do not have your case file

So you just need a plan for the next week
    1) call back doctor ask for telephone conversation, lay on your current stress heavily
    2) find ways to distract yourself ...go workout, do meditation, get out in the fresh air and walk, play loud music and dance, batch cook

Each doc/lab can use a different threshold for the bottom end of the normal range of TSH. For my insurance, it's "0." But that doesn't mean it's normal for you. More telling is Free T3 and Free T4.

You're a ways away from being hypothyroid (under active) and are close to hyperthyroid (overactive).

It really depends on what .02 is measuring. There are several markers for thyroid disorders, and each has a different range. Your doctor is seeing you within 2 months, which seems to me to be a reasonable period of time. (I'd push for an earlier appointment if it was 6 months, or a year, out.)

My thyroid issues are on the other side of the scale - so I don't have direct experience, but I know enough to know that .02 doesn't provide enough information to provide any useful guidance without knowing what marker the .02 is connected to.

I have no clue what the .02, I'm sorry I'm dumb when it comes to things like that, she just said my thyroid level was .02 and he wanted to retest in 2 months. I felt it was fine and got off phone then read up on it and got worried (the Internet is scary) so I thought talking to people that if dealt with it first hand would ease my mind. Thank you again for taking the time

So call your dr and ask. There are several thyroid tests, for different hormones and in completely different ranges. Sorry but .02 without further details is absolutely meaningless. .02 tsh, ft4, t4, antibodies?

The medication doesn't change your levels overnight. It takes time for those changes to take place, hence the waiting for a couple of months.

Don't feel bad for asking. But please don't take offence when people here don't want to speculate on medical issues. I hope it's nothing major!
