Which is better?

Right now on Tues and Thursdays I have class from the time I get off work at 5pm until 10pm at night we don't get a break to get any thing to eat....so is it better to skip my last meal or eat at 1030 at night?? I sometimes try to have a banana with me for a snack that I can eat on the little break we do get but I have always heard its not good to eat late at night but then that puts me way under on calories for those two days also??

Meal timing doesn't matter. If you aren't hungry during class, try to eat all of your calories for the day before you go. If you get hungry, bring a snack or eat afterwards. Sometimes if I eat late at night it affects my sleep, so it'll just be what you want to do and how it affects your body.

^ Yup. Meal timing/frequency is just personal preference.

My last food of the day is literally a few minutes before I go to sleep. Usually just before midnight. Stay within your calorie goal for the day and just eat when you're hungry. Don't worry about what time it is.

    Whichever makes you feel happier.

I often eat a big bowl of ice cream just before bed.

And by "big bowl", you mean 1 cup or less, and always within your calorie allowance for the day.

I had a friend who often ate a big bowl of ice cream just before bed. Few thousand calories. Obese friend.

    What they said.
  • On those days I would try to pack something and bring it to eat. Cut up fruit, veggies, maybe make a sandwich? I pack my lunch almost every day so that I don't go out for lunch.

I usually do pack my lunch because I usually get it ready when I fix my dinner the night before so it can be measured out and stuff, and the class is Microbiology and we work with bacteria everyday so it kinda grosses me out to eat while I am there lol
