I eat when I'm not hungry

Hey there all, this is Cici. I'm not new to MyFitnessPal, I've used it on and off but I guess you could say I'm a "yo-yo dieter" - I lose weight and then gain it back, over and over.

I'm currently sitting at 5'3" with 145lbs, which isn't a nice look for my frame, and bordering on unhealthy as well. I'm looking to utilize the community to make a permanent change and reach my goal of 110lbs. I've failed about 1000 times now, but I guess maybe the 1001st try could be it.

My main problem: I eat when I'm not hungry. I'm a true emotional eater and I know it - I eat when I'm bored, lonely, stressed out or trying to procrastinate. I went to counseling for it a few months ago, but my financial situation changed and I can no longer afford that. So, I'm trying to apply the skills I learned on my own as I go.

Looking forward to connect with others who can relate to starting over, emotional eating and <40lbs weight loss goals!

I am also guilty of eating out of boredom. When im depressed i dont eat at all. I know its easier said than done but when you feel like eating, drink water. I think its a cycle that is easy to break once you get past those first few dreaded days.
