I'm focused on losing my belly! Well I need to lose weight everywhere but for workouts I usually just walk sometimes I jog depending on how I'm feeling. Will this help with losing my belly fat or would I need to do another exercise? I don't really know how to do anything else but I'm willing to try and learn

Hi, you cannot target fat loss you can only maintain a calorie deficit. The deficit will cause you to lose excess fat. Exercise can increase calorie burn and increase muscle. The only bummer for me is that the belly fat (beer gut) was the last to go and the first to come back. As I approached my target weight the belly fat did come off faster.

You can't really spot reduce, and often (dare I say most?) times, the belly is just the last place too lose weight. I know it is for me as well. The only thing you can really do is eat at a deficit and do some strength training focusing on compound movements and continue your cardio. Unfortunately, it just takes time...

I agree with the previous posters. You cant spot reduce but once you start to lose weight by eating at a deficit it will slowly improve. Also - be sure you are strength training! I haven't lost a lot of weight in the past year because I had been overeating but I was also lifting heavy and my stomach went down so much! Most of the changes and improvements in my appearance are attributed to lifting and strength training. I only really began to incorporate cardio into my routine within the past 4 or 5 months. Be sure you take pictures of your progress!

The two best things you can do for your belly are lose weight and work on your posture. Core exercises (not just abs, the whole core) are great for posture.
