Coming Back!

Hey everyone!
I am coming back to MFP and hopefully I will start logging again. I started my journey to a healthy lifestyle back in August 2012.
I have learned so many things about myself while getting in shape!
Here are a few:
1. The scale doesn't matter!
2. Inches are important, but the way you see yourself is more important!
3. I LOVE weightlifting and muscles are awesome!
4.Most importantly - clean eating is key to getting in great shape!
I have lost 15lbs and 8 inches from my waist!
Would love for some new friends on MFP so we can encourage/support each other!

Wow - that's fan-frickin'-tastic on inches lost! Literally just over the weekend I told my husband that while I want to lose weight I'm more into losing inches and so that's my focus from here on out. Measuring every 2 weeks! Woop! Feel free to friend me and we can totally encourage each other. I've really been a "lurker" for all of forever on MFP but decided that I need more support than just me. :-)0

Haha, Yes, I am. lol We just did it for a laugh.0 -
Terrific progress. Weight lifting is awesome. It really teaches you that the mirror is a much better determiner of progress than the scale. How you look (and feel on a daily basis) is much more impacted by your body composition than your gross weight.
By the way, the reason you're so down on your scale might be that guy you're carrying around! He's got to add another 175 pounds!
By the way, how many reps do you do with him?

Haha! Thank you! 185lbs to be exact! I can do 5 reps of 185lbs on my last set. With him, twice since it is dangerous. lolTerrific progress. Weight lifting is awesome.
