Need a little help

Current lost 24lbs in 5weeks, just started at the gym and suddenly hit a brick wall with my weight loss. Any help would be wonderful

    How long has it been since you lost? If only a week or two, it's going to be water weight that your muscles are holding onto to repair from new routines. It'll go away soon.

    24lb is a lot of weight to lose in 5 weeks, it could be that your body is taking time our to adjust. Could also be some fluid rebalance particularly if you have been dehydrated or lost a lot of fluid weight (which is entirely possible with your rate of loss).

    You get how losing weight works right?

    When you first start "dieting" you reduce your intake and possibly your carbs

    The result is a fast initial loss in the first few weeks ...due mainly to water weight, less food in digestive system and a little bit of body fat

    A healthy goal is 1-2lbs a week

    You can only judge average weight loss over 6-8 week cycles

    Weight loss is not linear - you get fits and starts
