So I am recovering currently from a eating disorder and I've been free of it for two months today. However the weight gain is getting to me. I want to lose weight (slowly) over the next few months. However hunger and deprivation causes very strong sense of panic in my brain. I am not restrictive In my diet I eat even when I'm not hunger to stick to the plan. But I can't lose weight because of this innate fear. Is this just me?

Speak to your recovery team about this

I agree with the above. I would speak with your counsellor/therapist about that and how you can alleviate that fear.

I had an ED many years ago. I totally understand. You need to speak to your therapist or medical provider about your feelings.
