30 day Shred Help

I just ordered the dvd from Ebay, and was wondering if there is anything that I will need, ie. yoga mat, etc.?
Also, anyone who has done it, I would love to hear your feedback! I've been working out almost every night to Richard Simmons for 3 weeks now. Do you think I will be completely murdered by the 30 day shred, or should I be okay since I've been working out already? Thanks!!

You will need a mat if you will be doing it on a hard floor as there are parts where you need to be on the ground. It also uses hand weights. I am way out of shape and only use about 2 lbs in each hand but it is whatever you are comfortable with.
I have done two days last week but I am starting over today so that I can go the full 30 days with the group that is starting it this week. I was walking around 10-15 miles a week on my treadmill and the first day of doing the shred kicked my butt.. I felt fine right after it and even went on to walk on the treadmill for 4 miles but then I was so sore the next day I took that day off. But then after I did another day I felt much better.
You will be great! Just don't give up it does get easier. :happy:0 -
:flowerforyou: 30 day shred is tough if you do it right! All you need is 3-5lbs hand weights.0

I picked up my copy at Walmart a few weeks ago. You will want a mat if you are working on a hard surfuce, but if you are on carpet, you should be fine. You will also need a pair of hand weights, maybe start with 3lbs or 5lbs. I have been exercising routinely for the past few months and this was still a challenge for me. I found that the 1st week I did not use the weights, just used my body weight until I got the rythum and then added in the hand weights the next week.
The burn you feel will make it all worth it. Just stick with it, and when you think you want to quit, push a little more :-)

Just do a quick search in the community area, there are dozens and dozens of reviews. I myself am not a fan. The exercises are boring along with the music, warm up is old school (she does things we now know can cause injury) and I just don't like Jillian - she's not a positive person and I want a positive environment in order to push me. I'm a Turbo Jam fan (3.5 year now) I love Chalene and everything she touches but if you aren't very co-ordinated (and I'm no dancer but it is more difficult) you'll move in fine with 30-day shred routine.
Just don't over extend your squats on the first time you will injure yourself. You WILL hurt the next day and maybe more if you did it right since you are new to intense workouts but that’s a good thing.
You will need weights but you can start without and just pick up 5lb'ers when you can. You do lie on the floor but carpet is fine. You can get a yoga mat at the dollar store (Dollerama $2) if you really want.0
