Transitioning to maintenance

I'm about 14-24 pounds from my goal range and recently increase my calories to lose 1/2 pound per week instead of 1 pound/week. Was this premature or is it a good plan?

    I think its a good plan. When you get to maintenance, I think its also a good idea to slowly up your calories each week until you find what your maintenace really is.
