Height and weight? Accuracy of measuring intake?

Your diary is incomplete most days, are you logging it somewhere else?

    - The closer you get to your goal range, the smaller your deficit should be. This is why it's important to weigh and log EVERYTHING you eat and drink. Well, except water.

    - Weight fluctuations are normal. I range about 5 lbs up and down. This is due to water retention, TOM, and just normal daily changes. Weigh only once a day, at the same time. I wouldn't weigh every day because it will change every day, but pick a couple days of the week and a set time to weigh yourself. In the morning right after you get up and hit the bathroom is a good time. At least, it is for me. XD

    - Without knowing your stats, we can't really give you advice on what your calories should be for the day. One thing you can do is google various online calorie counters and get an average of 3-4, including MFP. They all have different ideas of activity levels, so they're not going to be the same, but you can get a good average range to start from this way.

I had to decrease my calories, intensify workout, and drink more water as I am now only 5 lbs from my goal. Definitely the last few lbs is hard, for me anyway. Most of it is mental, I think. I had to finally settle down and recognize.....close is close, but it's not there.

Because you are eating more than the amount of calories you are burning.

I'm 5.2 and weigh 11.7, I got down to 11,2 but then I uped my calories, to 1400 and I can't seem to loose on this. I normally log perfectly as I have done since January but I'm getting bored with it to be honest but I have had weeks where I have been perfect and still not lost, I just really wanted to know 1400 was too high? I do have a thyroid problem but it hasn't stopped me loosing 4 stone so far...I haven't been to the gym as I can't afford it so my exercise has been walking and exercise bike which I try to use everyday. Thanks for your help.

You don't need a gym. As far as your walks and biking, have you been increasing the intensity? Can you find hills or stairs to climb on your walks? Incorporate speed intervals to your exercise bike routine.

I have no idea about whether you should stay at 1400 cals. or not, but with so little to lose accurate calorie intake is important.

MFP goals are based on population averages. If you have a thyroid problem, you may not fall close to the "average." You can still lose based on CICO, but you may have to do more work to determine what your calorie range for weight loss and maintaining actually is.

I set mfp to sedentary and then log all my exercise separately. On a day with 1.5 hrs on the treadmill I get to eat 1400-1500 calories. Otherwise 1200.

Forget the calculators and the rest of it. If 1200 was working go back to it and get those new pounds off.

Then maybe add an extra 100 cal snack a day for a few weeks and see what happens. So work with 1300.

If you still loose, then add another snack to get to 1400 or go back to 1200 if you stall on 1200. It might be trial and error but you will react to your body and it's individual requirements.
