Becoming a group fitness instructor

I have been toying with the idea of getting certified to teach group fitness classes (step aerobics, spinning etc) for a long time now. I work full time and per diem as a social worker and would love a per diem job that is NOT social work (because I'm burning out). I find myself fearful to take the steps I need to get my certification. I worry that I will not fill my classes. I worry that I look like an idiot. I hate talking on a mike. What if I get too winded to talk through the class? and on, and on.
Are there any group fitness instructors in here? Any words of advise about getting started?
