Poor Will Power

Hi!
I was always maintained a healthy weight my whole life without much effort. At 26, I went through a lot of issues and within 2 years, I put on 45 lbs and I continue to gain.
I have not been able to maintain a healthy life style for more than 10 days - eventually I always break into a binge. I never do fad or extreme diets - but I always quit soon after and binge on anything and everything!
Can someone suggest something that helped them boost their will power?

Good news is that willpower is a skill you can improve. Treat it like a muscle and work at it with progressive overload.

What do you consider a healthy lifestyle?
Do you completely change your foods in order to have them fit into what you consider "healthy"?

Make a list of all the things you want to change to have your ideal "healthy lifestyle". Break it down as much as possible. Then choose one thing like "drink more water" and only concentrate on achieving that for 2 weeks. Then add something else like " log all food every day" (as you see I did not say stay under calories). By adopting lifestyle changes slowly you basically take will power out of the equation.
I also suggest adding things like more water, daily logging and more vegetables before subtracting things like cut down on refined sugar and eat below calorie limit.

This +1. Make incremental changes. Make sure they are sustainable changes. Creating new life-style habits should not be a race to change everything at once.

Have you assessed why you are binging? Are you not eating enough to begin with? Are your calories too restrictive? Are you avoiding whole food groups? A healthy lifestyle is easy if you aren't being too restrictive. Also assessing what you consider "healthy". Need more info.
