Can I ask what you hope to achieve by seeing a nutritionist?

From a personal perspective unless you suspect a legitimate medical condition which requires tailored advice I think seeing a nutritionist or even a registered dietitian is going to be a waste of money.

Sure, and I get sometimes it is helpful for a person to get a sense of direction from a nutritionist given there seems to be so much conflicting information out there and it can seem very confusing.

That said, in the absence of a medical condition, I think you could achieve superior results by keeping an open mind and experimenting a little to find a good fit for you as an individual.

I would set a reasonable calorie goal using MFP or another calorie calculator and try a number of different foodstuffs and combinations within that calorie goal to see the one you gel with over time. Make sensible choices, be patient, be consistent, accept somethings make not work but they are learning opportunities and you will do very well.

    All the best.

What health problems do you have then?

    Body type = Human

A good plan to get your health back on track

Eat a wide spread of colourful vegetables
Eat adequate protein (0.65-0.8g per lb of bodyweight at minimum if you are aiming to lose weight)
Eat adequate fat from good sources (0.35g per lb of bodyweight at minimum)
Eat calcium rich foods like dairy, green leafy vegetables
Eat food you love to your calorie limit ...set by goals on MFP plus 50% exercise calories or a cut from TDEE (if looking to lose weight)
Move more in general, choose to walk more rather than drive or public transport
Follow a good progressive resistance programme
    Structured online programmes

If you can't bring yourself to do free weights yet then do a decent bodyweight programme

Do not believe in nutritionists...you can qualify online in an hour to be a nutritionist...it is an unrestricted title and a catch all for a large amount of woo

Read and research and do what you believe in with minimum fad and woo

If you want help with your intake, you should probably be seeing a registered dietitian, not a nutritionist. "Nutritionist" is an unregulated term (so anyone can use it) and that means there are a ton of unqualified ones out there who frankly don't know any more than you do. RDs are licensed and regulated and actually have to have achieved a certain level of education, so you're much more likely to get accurate and appropriate help from them.

^ Better and more thorough advice than you'll get from any nutritionist. Diet plans for "body type" are scams and anybody who would recommend them in the first place would be a good person to avoid. I'd put them about on par with Dr. Oz for reliable dietary/health advice.
