How do u factor in the canola oil you cook in? I coated chicken with flour and used a about 1/4 cup of canola oil. Most of the oil is left in the pan

can you pour it back into the measuring cup? That may be your best option in this situation.0

This isnt going to be terribly accurate but if its all you have then it will work as an estimate.
The best way in the future is to weigh it. Weigh the chicken, weigh the flour, and weigh the oil before and after. You'll see accurate results all around0 -
I guess when it cooled, I could put it back in a measuring cup. Even if I only do it once it will let me know the % of how much is not consumed. (if 1/2 of what I use is left in the pan, then I'll calculate future recipes with 1/2 the oil) Thanks!0
