I cant attest to any science because frankly I don't care, I IF but not really on purpose its just how my hunger rolls when i actually pay attention to my body. I eat between 12-8 every day and I feel less hungry over all because I get more with each meal. I dont feel hunger pangs until right at lunch, but before when i would try to eat breakfast I'd be grouchy all morning. I feel much better with coffee between 5am-11am and bigger lunches and dinners. But thats not science thats just my experience :)

I do 19/5, 20/4 depends on the day. I have been trying all different things to see what fits best with me and small meals through out the day don't work with me. I am a feaster.I love big meals and I found the easiest way to do this is by fasting.

While I don't have an exact time window, more often than not I'm on a 20/4 or 21/3. This works great for me. During the day I only have water, coffee, and diet soda (I know, bad). But in the evening, this gives me plenty of calories to eat until I'm full. I never go to bed hungry and usually have 200-500 calories remaining. I have found, however, that too much Cardio during the day makes it more difficult to stay within my calorie budget Even after adding the exercise calories back in. Eating slowly , drinking lots of water, and choosing healthy foods that are not calorie dense Helps.

Check out www.Leangains.com which is almost solely about intermittent fasting.

I usually do a 17/7 fasting feasting split. Like others have mentioned, when I'm cutting (eating at a calorie deficit) I find it's much easier to maintain my calorie intake when I eat for less hours in the day. And I feel full during the feasting time because I can eat bigger meals. I usually eat lunch about 12:00-12:30 and dinner between 5:30-6:30 and try to be done eating by 7:00pm.
