Hi! I'm new and would love recipes to get me started!
Hi! I'm Saydel and am completely new to macros and healthy eating for that matter. I have recently started cooking healthy meals but need help! Holding myself accountable for meals is definitely harder than I thought it would be. I would love some ideas from you guys! Some recipes add me or let me add you to get some ideas! Thank you!!!!

Perhaps there haven't been any responses yet to your post because your question is pretty general and the answer would be different for everyone depending on what their aim was.
Some basic hints for starting out, though:
1. To eat what you want to eat and have a healthy diet, it all starts at the grocery store. If you have a plan -- even a vague one -- of what you want to eat for the week, you will buy only those things.
2. When you grocery shop, stay in the outer aisles and avoid the middle ones except for those specific things you are looking for like rice, beans, coffee, etc. The outer aisles are generally, produce, meat, dairy, and frozen veggies. Don't go down the chips and cookies aisle and it won't tempt you.
3. Always shop with a list.
I try to use Harvard NutritionSource's Healthy Eating Plate as a model when I'm trying to plan good suppers. You basically divide the plate into quarters: 1/4 lean protein, 1/4 whole grains, and 1/2 fruits & veggies (but mostly veggies). Aim in that direction and then log your intake on MFP and adjust accordingly. Although MFP has default percentages for macros, you can set your own to meet your goals and needs. Mine are 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fats but I'm a 65-year-old sedentary woman who's just trying to stave off the grim reaper. Your preferred numbers may be quite different.

So many more, but those are the easiest bases, I think.

You don't need to change everything all at once. As you find a recipe you like, flag it and repeat it. Change one meal a week and soon you will have a bunch of recipes to choose from. I pick my recipe based on the meat I have and mix and match the sides.
I pick vegetables and fruits based on the season. They taste better that way and they are cheaper too.0 -
I get recipe ideas on pinterest.
butgetbytes.com has some good recipes.0
