First Week Weight Gain

Gained 2.9lbs during my first week, but I'm not discouraged or disappointed. My clothes fit a little better. I raised my workout regime. I think that's probably the reason for the weight gain. Feedback please

Nah, that would just be water retention from increasing exercise.0 -
Totally normal for increasing exercise and will likely go away quickly. If your logging is accurate, just keep on with what you're doing.
By accurate I mean using weights for foods and correct entry selection.0 -
Congrats on not letting the scale play mind games. Yup, water retention after a workout happens and can mess with the scale. Feeling of clothing is one thing to go by. You could also take measurements, and/or progress pictures. I find those tell a better story.0

I prefer the pics. I have taken them from three angles wearing the same clothes. Really obvious difference.0
