Increased Appetite after Sickness

I have had a pretty intense sinus infection going on a couple of days now. I have been eating and exercising mostly as usual. Today I woke up and was STARVING! I drank some water, ate some almonds, and went to work (typical routine). But my stomach is growling so loud I don't think I'll make it to lunch. I know it's okay to eat over my calorie goals occasionally, which I'm sure will happen today if I keep staying this hungry. I was just curious if anyone else has ever experienced intense hunger during or after a sickness? Or is this all in my head?

It makes sense to me. Your body is burning extra calories fighting the infection, so you may need to eat more.

I know it takes me a few days to recover after beibg sick. My appetite goes winky.

Agree with the above ^ :)

Your body has been using extra energy to fight off your infection so by all means refuel and don't feel guilty.
