So I am in a cast for the next 4-5 weeks. Doctor said no swimming, no skating, no running which pretty much sums up my exercise routine. Any advice? Walking alone just doesn't seem to be the ticket for me.

Why no running? I had both a broken rib and a broken hand this summer and they never restricted running. Swimming I can see with it getting wet. You can always walk.

No running b/c he says it will jar the wrist too much. Husband says it's b/c the sweat will stink up the cast. Neither make sense to me, but I'm trying to comply.

I broke my wrist last year and ran every other day had my cast on for 12 weeks although I had the cast changed every 4 weeks when I went back in for checkups and more scans to check the progress of my wrist.
