Hey all
Could anyone let me know if these nut/seed amounts look accurate.
My scale is reading 2 grams/nut or seed amounts.
Thanks

If it's a calibration issue, you can use something that you know the weight of, like a coin - nickels are easiest because they're an exact measurement (my scale doesn't do half grams).

    Cent (since 1983) - 2.500 g

    Nickel (since 1866) - 5.000 g

    Dime (since 1965) - 2.268 g

    Quarter (since 1965) - 5.670 g

Thanks - good idea. My scale is strange though - even after calibrating it, the weight sometimes changes up to a gram. Sometimes if the item is 'left' on the scale for a few seconds, the weight will jump 1-2 more grams??

Does that happen with items or with hot food? Sometimes you can lose a gram or two when steam is coming out. Otherwise I'd just log it as the exact weight at first and not worry too much about it.

Oh, it happens no matter what it is :*

Your advice is actually what I've been doing - I log what the first weight the item registers as.
    Thanks for your help:)

Thanks - I did need to know if it looks approximately what it should.

Looks good, but I always round a gram up just to be safe with my logging.
