Exercising from meal prep?

Here's a new thought I had and am curious if others have thought about this more so and have actually noticed specific outcomes.

I have recently been much more motivated to spend more time grocery shopping (roaming around looking for healthy alternatives or ingredients), cooking for myself (which often includes a lot of washing, coring, peeling, chopping, cutting and prepping since I'm buying a lot more fruits and veg AS OPPOSED TO---and I hate to admit it---ordering a pizza or going through taco bell) and then of course the clean up...

Anyone notice this extra effort causing a boost in weight loss...the meal prep/clean up portion? I am almost embarrassed to even ask, but I really have cleaned up my act lately...went from just picking food up to getting in a mini workout just to have a meal!

THOUGHTS?? :)

Unless you are extremely sedentary otherwise, I doubt it has much affect at all. It's much more likely that the food you are preparing is healthier and lower in calories than what you would have picked up
