TDEE diet?

Can someone explain this TDEE -20% diet thing to me that some of you use on here? It sounds like it is more efficient than MFP suggestions!

Thanks!

it can be identical, TDEE - 20% means your calories are 20% less than your TDEE.

The same would happen on MFP if it calculated your TDEE to be 2500 and you set it for a 1 lb/week loss.

As a reference, have a look at this thread, which is good at explaining how to use TDEE on MFP

MFP can be the same and can be way off. Mine was

I googled TDEE calculators and picked a few (I'm a bit OCD so I did 8 sites to get my average) then I looked at the differences and picked an average and went from there.
So many websites give different results so It can be hard.

IIFYM is a good site. My brother is a PT and he recommended it.
