when you say eat back 50%...

When I go to the gym I use the machines to estimate the calories burned. I know they are inaccurate so I always halve the number to put into mfp.
Now then, should I only eat back 50% of what I put in mfp (therefore a 1/4 of what the machine said). Or is it just half of what the machine says?
Thanks!

Meaning half the machine ...put that in ...eat that

Judge weight loss over 6-8 weeks, if losing more than anticipated start putting in 75% until you get the right amount for you

Thanks for clarifying! Do people tend to half mfp's calorie estimates too? I have been.

I try and eat back around 50% of what either my fitbit or gym equipment state, and both state the same number to be fair.
