Protein bars

I have started eating a protein bar post workout. they are low carb bars with 20g protein. Since eating these I have noticed the scales have not budged and today they are even up! Am I doing something wrong by eating these bars? I know weight loss doesn't happen over night but it is so unmotivatiional when you see gains! When should did you see results? I have been clean eating for three weeks and my diet has drastically changed in this time from what it was. I would have expected to see some change!

Depends on how hard you're pushing yourself working out... Your body is holding onto water to store glycogen and to help repair muscle post-workout. I wouldn't get too stressed out over it. Instead of protein bars, look into a whey protein powder, they have more protein and fewer calories than most mass market protein bars.

Thanks. I have tried protein powders and I can't stand the taste!! The bars are edible , some are actually quite nice which makes me worry that they are not good for me! As for how hard I work out, we'll I feel like a push myself to the limit each time

Maybe try Visalus. I am not a seller or promoter I just know it tastes good.
