A Place to Vent-Misconstrued Thoughts

Here's a place where you can post the most frustrating things that have happened to you involving conversations with other people. I'm aiming specifically for times in which people have taken your post or thought and interpreted it completely differently from your meaning or intent. I'm so tired of this. I am considering closing off all means of communication and becoming a hermit. :) Anyway, so long as this thread doesn't violate anything, post away! If it does violate stuff, disregard, delete, and carry on.

So, to get the ball rolling, just post some extremely frustrating arguments or conversations you've had with someone that made you also want to become a hermit

Unfortunately written words are easy to misconstrue meanings and follow the truth. Don't let things get you down. MFP is too big and in the long run all you will do is just worry.

Ah. Of course this gives me white hairs. However, I was hoping that we could share horror stories and get a laugh at least. Unfortunately, mine is too fresh to share at the moment.

If MFP is giving you white hairs, it may be time to re-evaluate communication on the forums.
  • I don't know. It's good and bad. I get a little annoyed sometimes when people miss my point or act like they know everything. The latter is much more commonplace. However, I've met a lot of friends from just a single post on the forums who have helped me think of things differently or feel better. So, I don't think they should be avoided. I just have to take the bad with the good and use the bad for amusing stories.
