How do private messages work?

Hi, brand new this month (240 lbs., need to lose 100+ lbs.) and trying to team up with a mentor on the other thread. I'm wondering: where is the private message page? Do PMs get pushed to email? If my prospective mentor answers my message, where will it appear? Sorry if this is painfully obvious!

    I see it really is obvious! I got to "My Home," and there's "Mail" right there. Also your PM was pushed to my regular email. Thanks! I get it now.
