standing at work..

I have to be losing some calories running around like a crazy person at work. I'm a pharmacy technician, and pretty much work everyday. On the weekends, I work 18 hours total the whole weekend...that should be considered exercise!!

Sounds like your activity level should be set to active which will give you a higher calorie allowance than sedentary so yes it does

You could get a fitbit (basic like a one or zip not HR)or similar pedometer to measure your general activity level

This would not be exercise, but your activity level. If you have similar exertion on a daily basis for a regular period of time, then mark it as your activity. As rabbit says, using an activity tracker will you give you a more accurate picture of what this is.

RN here - although technically not exercise, I use a Fitbit which calculates the steps and translates it onto MFP for me and so far is working. I still do exercise i.e. walking etc besides that but it would contribute.

I have a pretty high calorie allowance already, 1690..although I do my best to be below 1500. Ive seen so many posts about fitbit, what is it exactly?

This would be included in your activity level.

A fitbit is a fitness tracker. There are various and models and while there are some common features, so do different things. I love mine (Garmin Vivoactive). When I upgraded my wearable tech (fitness tracker) I started with this website to do some research: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2404445,00.asp

You could also try inputting your stats into Scooby and seeing if your calorie adjustment is different as Scooby can account for your active job more specifically than MFP. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calories-burned/
