How do you use this little button? I imagine most people push it at the end of the day, but today I wondered if anyone pre-logs and then pushes right away it as an extra motivation to stick to what was pre-logged. I also wonder if people push it even when they've only partially logged. So, in short, there's really no reason for this post except curiosity!

I do it at the end of the day - or even the beginning of the next once I'm sure everything is entered. But I hadn't thought about pre logging.

I don't use it anymore as I am maintaining. If I did use it, I'd probably wait till the end of the day when I was done tracking.

I rarely prelog, as I don't usually know what I'm going to eat. I have hit it before finishing before, and you can go back and enter more in afterwards. The only thing the button really does is give you a projected weight in five weeks and announce that you finished to your feed (provided you logged an adequate amount of calories).

I do it at the end of the day when everything's logged.

Sometimes I pre-log if I know what I'm having for dinner and suspect it might be high in calories, that way I can adjust my earlier meals and still come out where I want to be.

    I don't use it

    It annoyed me

All it does is give you a useless forecast

I press it at the end of the day. It's nice to see the prediction, but I know it isn't accurate and the only way I will know for sure where I will be in 5 weeks is to wait until I get there.

I rarely click it, but when I do it's right before bed, because all my exercise calories are added in. If I did it in the middle of the day, even though I prelog everything in the morning, It wouldn't reflect the true calories.

If I have everything planned for the day I'll put everything in that morning but I won't "complete" it just in case

I use it ... I like that little prediction. I find it motivating.

And I usually finish entering my food at some point in the evening.

You can click it, and then enter more if you decide to have an additional snack, and the prediction will readjust. It is not as though clicking it locks anything down.

I did that last night. I entered my food, clicked the button and the prediction told me a number I may not actually go down to because I'm really close to my goal right now. So, since I was still a little bit hungry, I had an extra snack, logged it, and the prediction readjusted to my goal. :)

Funny, I push it because that's what creates the post that tells everyone I've done it!

And yeah, I know you can change it after you've hit the button, but I've heard people say they are less likely to eat more after they've hit it because then everyone's already seen it. I can't remember the exact logic, but I wondered if anyone else used it that way.

    Thanks for all the responses!

I pre-log and hit complete at the end of the day after I review my day. Very rarely will I eat after that and add things because I am usually on my way to sleep by then. I don't particularly care about the message.

I pre-log in the morning but I rarely push the button. I found it isn't accurate and I weight myself enough throughout the week to know what my progress is.

I sometimes press it. I sometimes do not.
