Losing weight bathroom question?

So this may be a little TMI, but before I started eating healthy I had a diet of absolute crap. Meaning burgers, fries, excess high sugar/sodium foods basically. I've started eating oatmeal with some blueberries every morning and my lunch and dinner consist of lean protein and LOTS of veggies along with tons of water. What I've noticed is that I'm going to the bathroom more for #2. Is this normal? Is my body flushing out toxins or is it something else?

You're eatingmore fiber, which stimulates your digestion and gets things moving. It's completely normal and a good thing.

I have actually had the opposite problem - it has been more difficult for me to go since I started eating healthier. I don't understand why.. :(

It's totally normal. I've been a vegetable-intensive vegetarian for years, and that's how my body works, too - multiple times/day. Just be sure you're getting plenty of water or water-equivalent throughout the day, and some healthy fat, along with the fiber, so things don't get too . . . um, dry or liquid-y, I guess is one of the more tasteful ways I can think of to express it.

Like someone else said, it's not so much flushing out toxins, as it is moving that fiber through your system. All the fiber and resulting reduced "transit time" for food/waste is healthful, though, and does correlate with avoiding some serious medical conditions, so you're doing a good thing (not to mention all the good macro- and micronutrients you're getting in the healthier foods).
