15min with 8lbs or 30min with 5lbs?

So i've been doing a 15 minute upper body strength routine with 8lb weights after my runs. This morning, the schedule got away from me and I didn't have time for it. I have 5lb weights in my office at work. Would it be comparable if i did the routine twice during lunch with the 5lbs or should I try to get it in with the 8lbs much later tonight? I'm new to anything with weights (if the 8lbs didn't give it away!), so I'm not quite sure. Thank you!

Doing more reps with lighter weights can be just as effective for gaining strength and doing something is always better than nothing. So if you can go for it.0
