Dizzy....

Had my first PT session today for just 30 mins. Squats, lunges and some core work. It was a short session but I sweated a ton.
I normally eat 1200 calories plus 200 for exercise (light waking for 45-60 min). Today I ate 1650 so I don't think I was short on food. 110 g of Carbs, so don't think I was short on carbs....
Generally healthy. No issues with blood pressure. No medication. No chronic illnesses etc.
Came out of the gym and felt like I wanted to pass out.... Dizzy / light headed.... Felt like I needed to sit down.
Any thoughts what it could be?
It is very hot here and there was no A/C on, but I was hydrating and drinking water...

Hello! A few questions to consider: Could your electrolyte balance have been off? What had you eaten that day? What the workout too hard for your fitness level? How close to the workout did you eat? It varies upon individuals but having a 75-100 calories snack containing simple sugars (think banana) has enabled many of my clients to ward off dizzy spells during and after high intensity workouts. Simple sugars are also great to consume immediately after a workout as the body is looking for a quick source of energy (calories) to start the recovery process. I hope that helps!0

Sometimes when you are doing an intense exercise and don't give yourself time to cool down your blood pressure can drop too quickly causing the light-headedness and dizziness.0

Dehydration, overheating, and low blood sugar will cause that sort of feeling for me.0

Dehydrated? Honestly sounds like it's maybe heat related. If you were sweating a lot you may legitimately need something like Gatorade instead of plain water since you sweat out electrolytes. You can water it down if you use the sugared version or just buy the low calorie stuff.0

Thanks all.
I had a protein shake and egg white omelette around 11am. Then at 1 some Melba toast and Creme cheese with a glass of carrot juice. At 3 a pear. Workout was at 4...
I didn't have much of a cool down. Maybe it was that? I had a mad craving for sugar afterwards and had another protein shake around 5 when I got home....
I have another session on Friday. I'll try a cool down and a piece of fruit and see if that works.0 -
I'll be honest.... it just sounds like you had a good workout to me.
It's not uncommon for me to feel light headed or a tiny bit of nausea if i workout hard and have a high heart rate for an extended period of time.0
