Hi I'm new here but what I would really like to know is how to train my body and mind to not crave so much... I make healthy choices and love healthy food but then I ruin it with something sweet...I don't feel good without a snack...it's like an addiction or something.....

Pre-log your days, to include a snack.0

Well I know I couldn't stick to my deficit if I couldn't have something sweet every day and I don't consider that a craving. As long as the sweet things are a SMALL part of your daily calories and fit in without being to the detriment of your macro goals I can't see that you have a problem.0

Sugar is not, in and of itself, a bad thing. We, as human beings, generally speaking have become conditioned to that craving for sugar. Sometimes, it is an energy fix. Sometimes, it is just a craving for something sweet. It's okay. Just remember that there is a reason you are here at MFP and part of that includes trying to change your relationship with food.
When we eat a lot of sugar (as most Americans do) we become habituated to a certain level of sugars in our system. This is not necessarily our natural 'set point' for sugars. It is something that was learned. Conversely, this set point can be re-learned, re-set to a lower level of expectation. It's not necessarily an easy thing to do but, after a few months of re-regulating your sugar intake, you will find that it takes less sugar to keep your sugar hunger satisfied.
For some of us, it is difficult to make that adjustment and fight our way down to that lower control point. But, once you get there, you can look back and remember when, rather than a small cup of ice cream, you used to eat a huge bowlful, or maybe you can by-pass the cookies or cake or whatever - or maybe just have a tiny bit - whereas, months ago, you'd gladly take a fistful of the sweet delight.
You'll find yourself struggling sometimes but, as long as you stay focused on the reason for your process - weight loss, fitness, health or "all of the above", you'll make it. And, good luck to you.0
