Reaching goal weight

Is it better to go maybe 10 or 15 pounds less than your goal weight? I've adjusted mine down twice now but I know that I will probably gain some back getting into maintenance So how much less to account for that?

I think that I see 5 pounds as the most common "below weight" goal. That should be sufficient for the added water weight as you go to maintenance.0

If you bounce up 10-15lb you are probably eating over maintenance. In my own experience I bounce up 3-5lb when going from a deficit to maintenance.0

Posting again to say that if you are eating very low carb and then, when going to maintenance, move to a more moderate carb diet, I suppose you could gain more water weight.0

10 or 15lbs? No. Maybe 5. But really, 5lbs means nothing. My maintanace range is 5lbs. Because, trust me, there's no end game.0

Ok I'll adjust down an additional 5. I'll probably get there and adjust again every time I think of what goal should be it changes.0
