Tree trimming and Vivofit

I have one of those tree trimming saws and used it the other day to trim off some branches from the mulberry tree in the front yard. The next day I saw that I had a badge for a double goal. Apparently the Vivofit was recording the arm movements used in sawing the branches as steps.
It was a lot of work so may have approached the calories used it that amount of steps.
And I don't think it recorded anything for my bicycle ride earlier that day.

I work construction and my fitbit does the same. Its a pretty decent compromise anyway. I also noticed when I jog with a stroller (take the niece out for a run occasionally), it miscounts my steps on the low side. Rather annoying.
You take the good with the bad I guess. One day I hit 30,000 steps and I know that wasn't accurate!
