How to count calories in marinades

Hey guys, this is probably a silly question, but last night I made some chicken that I marinated in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. When I entered the recipe into MFP, I just used the amounts of each of those that the recipe called for. However, I ended up throwing most of that out (meaning it was not consumed). How do you figure out how many calories actually end up in the food you eat versus how many you discard?

Measure the marinade before and after (the stuff you throw away) ...... then enter the difference. I find that I only use a couple tablespoons or something.0

I was afraid you'd say that! I am kind of hesitant to do that because I'm paranoid about getting raw chicken germs all over everything, but I guess that is probably the best way to get an accurate measure.0
