Your body already cleanses for you, so this won't do anything. Just eat as normal and don't let one day derail you.0

Do not punish yourself. You probably added a few extra days of a calorie deficit to enjoy Thanksgiving. That seems worth it to me.0

just enjoy the thanksgiving foods & now carry on. I'd most likely bump up my water intake but no need to do anything special, get back on track food wise & you are good0

Completely unnecessary and won't accomplish anything beneficial whatsoever. Your body takes care of cleansing itself.0

My thought is that it's an immensely silly idea.0

OP, if someone told you that they over ate at one meal and felt the need to go in the bathroom and purge, what advice would you give them?
A cleanse is an unnecessary, largely ineffective, temporary, drastic method to expedite something that your body does naturally.
I think that compensating for a day of eating a lot of good food by starving yourself with lemon water sounds terrible and a very unhealthy way to approach all this.

I think consuming nothing but lemon water for the next 24 hours sounds miserable and useless.0

I just herd about it and wanted feed back thank you guys for the positive feed back and for the negative I was only asking to see if it was a bad idea I'm just gonna drink extra water0

I agree with this. The whole idea of "cleansing" seems wrapped up with punishment to me. Which just isn't a good place to be, mentally or physically.
If your Thanksgiving was enjoyable, consider it a success. Forget about the calories consumed that one day.

what is so toxic about some nice turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, squash, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie that would require a cleanse? IMO, that's all pretty healthy stuff right there...beyond that, your body "cleanses" itself constantly.
i can't believe people get so bent out of shape over one measly little day...it's a celebration and a feast...maybe just enjoy spending time with your loved ones and focus on what's actually important rather than handwringing over a single day or a handful of holidays and occasions throughout the year. people don't get fat because of a feast day or a special occasion or random saturday nights out on the town...it's those pesky regular days that tend to be the issue.0 -
