What do you do with

Your phone when you run? I just upgraded to the iPhone 6s Plus. I'm in love with the size bc I can pretend I don't need glasses. Lol. But didn't think about when I run what in the world I was going to do with it until this morning. I can take it back but just wondered if anyone else had this phone and how they carry it securely on runs? I've looked at several belts and arm bands but am just not sure! I just carried my 5s in my hand.

I have the iPhone 6S Plus also and use the "TFY Security hand strap" with it that I purchased on Amazon. It straps to your phone and you slide your hand into the strap. It's stays in place when I'm walking or running.

There is also something that you can get called a "Flip Belt" that you wear around your waist and slide your phone into. https://flipbelt.com I don't use it anymore because I like the hand strap better. I love the larger sized iPhone 6S Plus and would never give it up when I can be just as active with it as I can with the smaller phones.

Thank you! I have looked at the flip belt but would feel more comfortable if it zipped closed. It makes me a little nervous.

The flip belt is very snug. Trust me, my old 6 Plus never came out of that thing no matter what I did. I'd look into the hand strap as it is much better for running with a large phone like the 6S Plus. It actually doesn't feel like I'm holding it at all and it's very secure.

I did that once with my 5s and I guess where I lost a little weight after I bought the leggings, it slipped down my pants. Haha!! I am sure that was a sight to watch me fish it out.

I have this thing that Velcro straps around my upper arm and I slide my phone down in it. Very snug. And there's a hole for your headphones. Got it at Walmart I believe for less than 20$.

I have an Android which is large especially with the cover I have. I use my old Tune belt that I bought years ago but mostly I just stick it in my bra. A little ghetto but works for me.

Took a long time to find, but this is what I use for my iPhone 6 (Macro Size)

I tuck the tongue into the case then slide in the phone. Clips to your belt. Works very well. Nice and snug.

SPI belt is basically the same thing with a zipper.

I use a fanny pack for walking in the woods. It holds my phone, keys, MP3 player, tissue, sunglasses case, and pepper spray.

I have a flip belt - it's very snug. In fact so snug my phone won't fit unless I take the case off. I would suggest taking your phone to a running store or a shop that sells this type of stuff and testing it. I bought a running belt on Amazon that claimed to have a huge cavernous pocket - it was ridiculously tiny. Couldn't even begin to cram my phone in there. Had to return it. I'm just using the flip belt for now because it does work, but it makes me nervous to have to take the case off. I have a Samsung Note - it isn't huge but bigger than what fits most running gear.

Thanks! I will check out the SPI belt and arm bands. Any name brand recommendations for arm bands? Think I will skip the bra. Lol. Might get water damage. And I will also skip the fanny pack. Don't think I could take all the bouncing around

I leave my phone home. the cons is that something happens I could be in trouble, the pros is that I'm phone free while having time for myself. for music I use a 2nd gen crappy ipod, but it works and it's small enough to be placed in the evil back pocket.

I don't think people should return their phone because they cannot run with it. go out, enjoy your run, ignore the phone (unless obviously you absolutely need it for security reasons)

I have yet to figure out why my posts get cut off! I was just saying my husband is always on the lookout. I have your have my music so I can't hear myself breathe. The iPod is a great idea, though!

I hate to say it, but I'd never recommend a woman run alone without a phone. I mean, I probably wouldn't recommend a man do it either but I don't feel safe without my phone on me. I have an app that will automatically text my husband if I stop running for more than five minutes too...just in case. I live in a fairly large city and unfortunately precautions like that are just reality because stuff does happen. Just last week a jogger in NYC got raped in a popular park at 7PM. I'm not saying that having my phone on me would save me if something happened but it's nice to have in case I'm getting an unsafe feeling and need to make a call.

I also use a GPS app on my phone to track and pace my runs, so there's that too.

Anyway, I have an iPhone 6 and it fits with room to spare in the FlipBelt and there's absolutely no chance it would come loose. I wear the pockets facing inward just to be cautious but nothing even budges with that thing, I love it. I keep my keys, ID, and phone in there all the time, plus my gloves and headband if I get too warm, and it all fits no problem.

I have an old-school waist pack that I tried to use for a while but it was terrible - bounced like crazy unless I cinched it to the smallest part of my waist, and then the nylon strap chafed my skin. Super painful. I also had a Garmin sports armband (neoprene) when I had an iPhone 5, but the 6 (and I don't even have the Plus) is too big to wear comfortably on my arm. It's so long I feel like it's constantly in the way for some reason when I bend my arms even if I wear it up high. That might just be because I'm kind of short and have correspondingly short arms, but yeah, the FlipBelt is waaaay more comfortable than an armband for me.
