Hi there, I am a newbie on here and I have a newbie question! I started P90X yesterday (woo!) and I've noticed I've gone over my calorie limit on MFP (sticking to the meal plan P90X provides)... though P90X says to add on 600 cals. I've been trying to add on the exercise to here but I can't find it. I'd like to keep My Fitness Pal up to date on what I am actually losing/burning, because right now I am -300 cals today.

So P90X people: How do you track your burned calories on here?

Thank you so much! Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I use a heart rate monitor :) That's the best way to track it... although you can "google" it and it gives you a guestimate for how many calories burned in each video... and then you can add that in to your log. Of course that is just an approximate guess. Hope that helps!

I bought an heart rate monitor that counts the calories so I had a more accurate number to put in but I would add the exercise in my exercises under cardio and then put the time & calories in. When I did the workout again & burned more or less I just played with the time to get as close as possibe according to the HR monitor. I labeled the exercise just as they are in the book. Just to let you know I followed the lean program & could never add the 600 cal cause I was only burning 200-300/workout. Good Luck!
