Shin splints

Hi, I've been walking on the treadmill everyday for 30 minutes at 3.0 and I noticed I'm barely breaking a sweat anymore so I decided to up it to 3.3 and the pain in my shins got intense. How can I prevent this because I want to be able to run one day.

Rest and ice helps out. It might be the shoes your wearing or you could just tape your shins0

I found that increasing the incline on the treadmill alleviated my shin splints.0
